About 2,600 IS programs in US universities produce IS professionals

IS Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are usually offered in Business Schools, as well as in standalone Information Schools or integrated with Computer Science.
IS programs are classified as STEM and typically called:

The recruitment, mindset, education, demographics, career paths, skills, and jobs of IS professionals are different from other STEM fields but remain poorly understood.
